Immigration and Visas for Singapore
Owing to the sensible immigration policies, Singapore has
become the business and commercial hub in Southeast Asia. It's intentionally
adapted its policies in order to attract seasoned and educated businessmen and
capable professionals from all around the world.
Entry to visit
All travelers are expected to go through an immigration
clearance upon entrance into Singapore, so as to be granted visit moves by
police officers at the stage of entrance.
Required files and status
A valid passport and adequate funds also onward/return
tickets and visas, disembarkation and embarkation card.
The amount of stay displayed on the social visit pass
endorsed by the customer's passport.
Valid arrival endorsements on passports and number of days
stay.
Visitors holding trip passes are not allowed to engage in
any form of business, profession, job or compensated job while in Singapore.
Work permits
Five different work moves are issued to applicants.
Permitted for company owners or skilled employees who will
be working in Singapore with monthly salary of over SGD $3,000 and holder of a
diploma to get a respectable university. Valid for 1-2 years and renewable upon
continuing labour. A holder may apply for permanent residence.
Entrepreneur Pass (EntrePass)
A pass enabled for owners of newly incorporated companies
who would like to relocate to Singapore. Valid for 1 year, but renewable while
the organization remains viable. Holders are entitled to apply for permanent
resident status.
S Pass
A pass issued to mid-skilled workers who can earn a fixed
monthly wages of at least S$2,000. It's valid for 1-2 years in the discretion
of both the authorities and renewable thereafter provided that the applicant
continues employment with the employer. Holders may apply for permanent residence
status.
A pass allowed for professionals who would like to work in
Singapore. Valid for 3 years but isn't renewable. Holders may change tasks but
must discover another within 6 months and can't start a company. Holders may
submit an application for permanent resident status.
